What is your favorite band?
I figured this board needed something like this. I would just like to state my overwhelming love for...
The Presidents of the United Sates of America
I love them.

yea yea
Right now my fav. band is (DUM DUM DUM), System of a Down!
But since I gotta give credit where credit is due, some of my other favorite bands include: The Allman Brothers, The Who, The Guess Who, Jack Johnson, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, and Jimi Hendrix.
Q: Who can top these bands?
A: No one.

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds.
I'm reading a novel written by the lead singer right now. The guy writes like Faulkner, but without the "I must create the longest sentance in the world!" bit that Faulkner does, it's amazing.

Id have to say Portishead.. The albums are just so different then anything out there and still remains to be.
And definitely not the Death Metal that my roommates been listening too.. BLAAAHH... I have the largest headache right now, nothing but screaming for hours.
I swear, these people realized early on in their careers that they couldn’t sing, so they just decided that "Hey!, I can just scream like a freeking moron for hours and people wont realize that I can't sing!"
I’m really starting to think that this is the case too, why paint a freeking red dot on a white canvas if you could paint a beautiful realism portrait. I swear these people are just lacking talent and industry excretes them into a genre

Get the song "Teardrop" by Massive Attack. Portishead bases itself off of Trip-Hop, same genre that Massive Attack made. If you like Portishead, you'll most likely love MA too.

I definately like Massive Attack, i just never really liked them as much as Portishead. I guess for personal reasons. My music searching for triphop has gone dry a while ago, i cant find much new stuff for the life of me.

I'm more of a instrumental type, so I have a lot of soundtracks and stuff, but I do listen to Lifehouse, some Linkin Park, my bro has Breaking Benjamin, so I listen to that too.
